Tea Eater ist eine in New York City ansässige Art/Noise-Punk-Band mit Tarra Thiessen von Gustaf und Sharkmuffin als Frontfrau. Tea Eater wurde 2022 gegründet und etablierte sich schnell durch ihre energiegeladenen Live-Shows und ihren DIY-Ethos. Seit der Veröffentlichung ihrer ersten Single „I’m Starting a Podcast“ haben Tea Eater die Bühne mit Thee Oh Sees geteilt, eine erfolgreiche Residenz am Broadway in Bushwick absolviert und sind an der Ostküste der USA getourt. Their sound combines catchy hooks with sardonic lyrics about butter, killing your doppelganger, and how the DMV is the worst. Formed in 2022, Tea Eater quickly established themselves through their high-energy live shows and DIY ethos. Since the release of their first single “I’m Starting a Podcast,” Tea Eaterhave shared the stage with Thee Oh Sees, completed a successful residency at Bushwick venue The Broadway, and toured the U.S. East Coast.
Their debut album ‘Obsession,’ produced and mixed by Drew Vandenburg (Bambara/Faye Webster/Of Montreal), has been released in 2023.
