Фортепианный концерт OQJAV («Окуджав») — это непрерывный звуковой поток длиной в час, который рождается здесь и сейчас. Периодически в нём появляются острова в виде песен группы. Но все они в итоге становятся частью одной реки, соединенные фортепианной импровизацией Ярослава Тимофеева. Именно таким концертом группа OQJAV открыла актовый зал культурного центра ГЭС-2 в Москве за несколько дней до начала войны. Тот вечер стал одним из наших последних выступлений в России: теперь участники группы разделены государственными границами. И мы воссоединимся с этой программой в пяти европейских столицах. Ждём встречи

OQJAV - популярный в своём сегменте коллектив, помимо непосредственно музыки существующий на смежных областях искусства, прежде всего - театра, кино, оранжереи, библиотеки, лесной тропы, прогноза погоды. В настоящий момент OQJAV составляют классический музыкант и теоретик музыки Ярослав Тимофеев и песенник Вадик Королёв.

OQJAV is a captivating and enigmatic Russian intellectual indie pop band, founded in 2013, that defies conventional genres and musical norms. With a blend of electronic beats, piano, soulful melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics, OQJAV has carved a unique niche in the music scene, having won many hearts and many awards.

Being born in the vibrant musical landscape of Moscow, OQJАV is known for their mesmerizing live performances that seamlessly blend electronic soundscapes with live instrumentation. Their music possesses an entrancing quality that pulls listeners into a sonic journey, where sounds and lyrics are crafted to evoke emotions and spark introspection.

Fronted by the enigmatic lead vocalist and songwriter whose hauntingly beautiful voice floats effortlessly over intricate electronic arrangements, bassist and electronic player Dmitry Shugaikin and academic pianist Yaroslav Timofeev, OQJАV's music is an exploration of both the human experience and the digital age. In the songs of the collective you can find both glossy synth-pop, as if calibrated to Western moulds, and nostalgic voices of the Soviet pop of the twentieth century, and actual electronics mixed with recitatives and allusions to Matthew Donovan, Richard Gere, Julia Roberts and Alexander Vertinsky.

On September 30th, the band's members Vadik Korolev (vocals) and Yaroslav Timofeev (piano) will reunite after a long pause gracing the stage with a selection of their compositions within an ongoing musical soundstream. This eagerly anticipated concert is a part of the European tour, reuniting both the band and their global listeners now living all over the world.
