Paons Perdus, a Brussels-based electro-rock trio with flashy feathers, weaves pop fables where the absurd meets the sublime — somewhere between theatre, tropical trance, and dancing melancholy. Their music evokes the spirit of Les Rita Mitsouko, La Femme, Arno, or The Slits. Between punchy synths, fierce drum machines, and euphoric guitar riffs, Paons Perdus spread their wings in a shamelessly joyful poetic trance — a cocktail that loosens you up just the right amount. Their music is joyful, yet it denounces… a fine balance between humor, rage, and letting go.

Just like French toast, where you make old bread delicious again by frying it into eggnog and sugar, Pain Perdu cooks up sweet and crunchy tunes out of the guts of old Nintendo GameBoys. Unless specified otherwise, the majority of the music Pain Perdu produces and puts out is recorded straight off of one Nintendo Gameboy, running the wonderful tracker program LSDJ. Our thanks go to the Chiptune community who keeps giving us inspiration and constantly raises the bar higher. Special mention to the people who allow this community to bud and bloom in our home country of France.
