The SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC NIGHT returns for the 14th time! During the event, 9 local songwriters perform three of their original songs with the SUPPORT LOCAL BAND in one of Berlin’s greatest venues for live music – Prachtwerk! Come get a thick slice of Berlin's local music culture and connect to your local community

The Event Description:

Berlin is overflowing with talent, and musicians from all over the world come to Berlin to work here on an artist visa. As a result, Berlin is home to one of the most vibrant and diverse music cultures in the world. Every day, you'll find high-quality music in the bars, on the streets, and at the music venues.

Although people appreciate local music, with there being so much international music at our fingertips, locals often overlook the names of the artists and forget the original songs they enjoyed hearing live. As a result, local music cultures often go unnoticed. This event is about bringing a slice of that talent to the foreground of people's awareness and defining our local music culture.

During the event, you'll only see Berlin-based artists on stage, and you'll only hear original music. These aren't hobby musicians or cover artists. All of them are full-time musicians or street performers. From the moment the doors open at 6:45pm, live music fills the air. The first half hour (6:45-7:15) is about live music accompanying your connection to your local community. Come in, get settled, share a drink at the bar, talk about life, and enjoy the live welcoming music performed by host and songwriter Nate Bernardini. The show starts at 7:15pm, and the dance floor will be open all night for those wanting to stand up and move.

During the event, Berlin songwriters take turns playing three songs while being accompanied by a professional band. The band studies the songs in advance, makes chord sheets, and prepares with zero rehearsals. This is what session musicians are trained to do. What happens on stage happens for the first time. It’s magical to witness.
