Bike
is a psychedelic rock band from São Paulo. On the road since 2015, the group has released 4 albums: 1943 (2015), Em Busca da Viagem Eterna (2017), Their Shamanic Majesties Third Request (2018) and Quarto Templo (2019). They caught the attention of the public and specialized critics with a single on the 30th Century Records Compilation, Vol. 1, from the renowned North American producer Danger Mouse.

There are more than 400 shows in 16 Brazilian states, between underground stages and festivals, sharing stages with Os Mutantes and The Black Angels and 3 tours across Europe, passing through Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Wales and Scotland, with emphasis on performances at Primavera Sound 2017 in Spain, Festival Nox Orae 2018 in Switzerland and The Great Escape 2019 in Brighton.

Formed in 2015, the group's sound has been highlighted by the press and the public: the releases of their first album "1943" (2015), "Em Busca da Viagem Eterna" (2017), "Their Shamanic Majesties Third Request" (2018) and "Quarto Templo" (2019) have gained them international listeners and specialized reviews. Outside of Brazil, the group has toured Europe three times, playing over 70 shows in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Scotland, Wales and at festivals such as Primavera Sound (Spain), Nox Orae (Switzerland), MIL Lisboa (Portugal) and The Great Escape (England), as well as being the only Brazilian band to have a single released on the label 30th Century Records, owned by producer Danger Mouse. In 2023 they made their first North American tour, which included 13 performances at the SXSW festival, the Treefort Music Fest, and in Seattle, including a live session on KEXP radio.

"The valleys and psychedelic horizons characteristic of the band are still there, but there are musical and lyrical references that transcend the lysergic references of previous records, like an Afro-Brazilian filter that runs through Arte Bruta from beginning to end.

It is also possible to pick out echoes of international rock in the sound of the record. There is the inevitable presence of the psychedelic rock of the 60s, the tropicalism and post-tropicalism of the early 70s, but the German progressive rock of the same period becomes more and more evident. And the krautrock rhythmic structure works as a support for the numerous percussions that run through the record, and this new spice unbalances and puts this album on another level in the band's career.

More and more, Bike sounds like one thing. Be it in the instrumental interweaving of the verses of "Além-Ambiente", in the motorized lisergy of "Santa Cabeça", in the musical tide that flows in "Cedro", in the serenity of "Que Vai da Terra ao Céu", in the slow crescendo of "Além-Céu", in the tense tempo of "Filha do Vento", in the syncopated rhythm of the first single "O Torto Santo", in the straight base of "Clara-Luz", and throughout the rest of the album, even in the vignettes.  The harmonic, rhythmic, and melodic conciseness of the group is the result not only of almost a decade in activity, but also of this recent slow process, which made the group look at the past and see themselves in the mirror at the same time. Arte Bruta is the album that the band took the longest to compose and record, and the result is noticeable every minute we go through it."
