Es ist endlich soweit. Pünktlich zum Jahreswechsel bringt die Hamburger Artrock Band Die Maßnahme ihr Debut Album "Sommer Kaputt" heraus.
Die neue Hamburger Rockband wurde an Silvester 2019/20 von Signe Raunkjær Holm (Bass/Keys/Vocals), Philomena Lauprecht (Guitar/Vocals) und Toni Montgomery (Schlagzeug/Vocals) ins Leben gerufen. Ein selbstgebautes Hybrid-Instrument zwischen Harfe und E-Gitarre wurde zur ersten Grundlage ihres gemeinsamen musikalischen Schaffens.
Während der Corona-Pandemie wurde Die Maßnahme für die drei Künstlerinnen zu eben dem: eine Maßnahme, ein Treffpunkt, ein Mittel, ein Beschluss. Gezeichnet von dieser Zeit entstand ein roher, eigenwilliger Sound aus Artschool-Pop und Punk.
Mit ihren energiegeladenen und überraschenden Liveauftritten haben sich Die Maßnahme in der Hamburger Kunst & Kulturszene einen Namen verschafft. Ein roher Garagen-Sound, gezielt eingesetzte Stimmeffekte wie Autotune und Genderpitch, & akustische Elemente (Chöre, Posaune und Percussions-Instrumente) zeichnen die Musik der Band aus.
System Exclusive is an American music duo from Pasadena, California, comprising Ari Blaisdell and Matt Jones. Known for fusing synthpop, shoegaze, and garage rock with a post-punk sound, they have carved out a niche with their energetic mini-synth-driven sound and nostalgic yet fresh vocal style. The duo debuted with their self-titled album in 2021 via Castle Face Records and gained further recognition with their second album, “Click”, set to release in May 2024 through Mt.St.Mtn. Produced by K. Dylan Edrich, the album features smoky vocals layered over intricate synthesizer textures. Click...conceived at maximum velocity across multiple borders, a venn diagram of clanging post-punk thrust, neon lavender synthesiser latticeworks, and Ari's tough yet tender alto reaching for the streetlights. In the past two years System Exclusive have hauled their mini-synth "band in a backpack" to 12 different countries, 20 different US states and all around the UK in desperate search of a good time. They brazenly sought to record this album on the incredibly beautiful but isolated Portuguese island of Saõ Miguel, and experienced a superstition-confirming level of setbacks, equipment breaking, and cosmic nuttiness while tracking. Secret weapon and Bay Area producer extraordinaire K. Dylan Edrich took those island-cursed stems and cultivated them into the sculpture garden of tunes that now lay before you.
