Chiara Castello und Camilla Benedini schreiben Electro-Art-Pop-Songs, die ihre vielen verschiedenen Einflüsse vereinen: Beats und Synthesizer aus den 80ern, Brit-Punk-Gitarren und Melodien aus den 90ern, um eine eigene Welt zu schaffen. Ihre Musik und ihre Live-Auftritte basieren auf einer Mischung aus den beiden unterschiedlichen Persönlichkeiten: Camilla ist Architektin und liebt einen klaren, schlichten Stil, während Chiara, die Kunst studiert hat, lieber ein bisschen Lärm und Unordnung um sich herum hat. Ihre musikalische Welt spiegelt den Wunsch wider, ein Gleichgewicht zwischen verschiedenen Erfahrungen und Wahrnehmungen zu finden, darunter Humor und Melancholie, Minimalismus und Art-Pop, digital und analog, Leichtigkeit und Ernsthaftigkeit. I’m Not a Blonde is an Italian-American duo based in Milano. Chiara Castello and Camilla Benedini write electro-art-pop songs that bring together their many different influences: beats and synths from the 80s, brit-punk guitars and melodies from the 90s to create a unique world of their own. Their music and live performances are based on a blend of the 2 different personalities: Camilla is an architect that loves a rigorous, sleek style, while Chiara who studied art, prefers to include a bit of noise and disorder around her. Their musical world reflects a desire to find a balance between different aspects of experiences   and perceptions including humor vs melancholy, minimalism vs art-pop, digital vs analog, lightness vs seriousness. 

Camilla and Chiara enjoy playing live and this is reflected in their direct and powerful duo performance. On stage they create their songs with loops that overlap musical structures. Voices, guitars and synths add up to create a sound that fills the area giving the feeling of a full band.

During the past years they've toured Europe taking part in important music festivals. They’ve shared stages with international artists like Duran Duran, Moderat, Soulwax, Peaches, Hurts and Ghostpoet.

In 2021 they won the Italia Music Export call that will support the promotion of their new album abroad.
