Ian Fisher left his home state of Missouri when he was twenty one to roam the streets of Europe for fifteen years. His music, which Rolling Stone calls “Half Americana & Half Abbey Road-Worthy Pop”, mixes his rural Midwestern upbringing with a delicacy shaped by his time abroad. Simple, yet emotionally complex, he has the acoustic grit of an early Jeff Tweedy with a sentimental pen ready to strike a’la Townes Van Zandt. Fisher has written two thousand songs and performed them at a thousand shows around Europe, Africa, and North America. He lives between Toronto, Vienna, and his family farm.
