Inspiriert von klassischer Musik, Free Jazz und Drone erschaffen die beiden klassisch ausgebildeten Brüder Benjamin und Guillaume Colin seit 2016 experimentelle Post-Doom-Epen im Stile von Year of No Light, Dirge und Omega Massif. „WuW ist das Geräusch, das der Wind macht, wenn er in einer heißen Nacht weht“, erklärt die Band. “Es ist ein leises Rauschen, das dich bei den Eingeweiden packt, ein Luftzug, der durch die Berge und die Ozeane rauscht.“ Ihr aktuelles, drittes Album „L'Orchaostre“ ist eine Hymne auf eine rastlose Reise, eine fünfteilige Doom-Symphonie, die ein Leichentuch aus bedrückenden Atmosphären mit nur einer Prise Licht schafft.

Inspired by classical music, free jazz and drone the two classically trained brothers Benjamin and Guillaume Colin have been creating lo-f experimental post-doom epics in the vein of Year of No Light, Dirge and Omega Massif since 2016. “WuW is the sound wind makes when it blows on a hot night,” explains the band, “It’s a low-end murmur that grabs you by the guts, a blast of air rushing through the mountains and the oceans.” Their upcoming third album L’Orchaostre is an anthem to a restless journey, a fve-part doom symphony that creates a shroud of oppressive atmospheres with only a pinch of light.

Ein Konzert von Monosphere ist ein intensives Erlebnis, das zwischen harmonischer Schönheit und düsteren, dissonanten Klangwelten pendelt. Ein einzigartiger Soundtrack, der Grenzen sprengt und in seinen Bann zieht – roh, emotional und fesselnd.

SATAO
Um Ihre Faszination für düsteren, rohen Metal auszuleben, gründeten die (Ex-) Mitglieder der darmstädter Formationen Elephant Messiah, Precipitation und Bushfire im Jahr 2022 ihre neue Band "SATAO". Die Heavieness des Stoner-Doom bildet das Fundament des neuen Sounds, während eine kalte Blackmetal-Atmosphäre die Nuancen der Songs dominiert. Durch die unterschiedlichen Einflüsse schreiben die Vier energiegeladene und dynamische Kompositionen, welche sich an den richtigen Stellen geradezu ausufernd Zeit nehmen, nur um im nächsten Moment in schiebender Schwere aufzugehen. Im März 2024 begab sich die Band in das Lofthaus-Studio in Darmstadt, um ihr Debutalbum "Devourer Of Man" aufzunehmen, welches am 24. Oktober 2024 released wurde.

To live out their fascination for dark, raw metal, the (ex-) members of the Darmstadt formations Elephant Messiah, Precipitation and Bushfire founded their new band “SATAO” in 2022. The heavieness of stoner doom forms the foundation of the new sound, while a cold black metal atmosphere dominates the nuances of the songs. Due to the different influences, the four write energetic and dynamic compositions, which take their time in the right places, only to merge into pushing heaviness in the next moment. In March 2024, the band went to the Lofthaus studio in Darmstadt to record their debut album “Devourer Of Man”, which was released on October 24, 2024.
