A band whose output is defined by a keen sense for change and continuum,
EGGY keep their feet firmly planted in the DIY. Forging songs from fuzzwar tones and analogue frequencies, their reverence for the mechanistic sounds of the 70’s always present aside a love for what was reimagined through the 90’s and into the 00’s. Continuing the nuances and simplicities of all good pop music, whilst adhering to the world of
soundtrack obscurities and beyond. Taking notes from influences John Cale, Stereolab, and The BBC Radiophonic Workshop - their live show is an ever evolving shift of creative
energy. Enveloping halls and ballrooms with cello and overdriven violin, or in
clubs and bandrooms with saxophone and blown out riffs. The thread
between static intensity and agile restraint taut from start to fin.
Their latest album, With Gusto, released through Flightless Records (King
Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Amyl and The Sniffers), was named Album
of the Week by both 3RRR and 4ZZZ and was featured in Henry Rollins' top
11 albums of 2022 on KCRW. Following With Gusto, they released Open Field in 2024. Written and intended as a three part odyssey, these seven minutes and fifty one seconds
traverse through the sounds of a band who keep conviction as their
touchstone. Taking notes from the Düsseldorf and Berlin schools of the 70’s,
these drifting melodies and mechanistic rhythms hold court alongside the
climactic intensity of a group forged by the 00’s New York underground.
They have shared stages with acts such as A. Savage (Parquet Courts),
Automatic, Kurt Vile, Shannon & The Clams, The Beths, Surprise Chef,
Tropical Fuck Storm, Wednesday, and Pachyman. Their performances also
include notable appearances at Splendour in the Grass and Bigsound, as
well as a debut headline tour across Europe.

BROKOF ist eine vierköpfige Alternative-Folk-Rock Band aus Berlin. Auf dem Debütalbum "Softly, Softly, Catchee Monkey" (2010), spielen BROKOF „Indie-Pop mit Folk & Noise im Stile von Wilco bis Velvet Underground“ (BYTE FM) und „brillieren in in der unprätentiösen Disziplin des Sich-Zuruecknehmens“ (MOTOR). Das von der Kritik hochgelobte zweite Album "Side By Side" (2012) machte die Band einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit zugänglich, Joey Whirleypop von GLITTERHOUSE meinte das Album klingt „klassisch und international, hat die richtigen Vorbilder (von Beatles bis No Depression) und vor allem ganz wunderbare Chorgesänge und mehrstimmige Harmony Vocals zu bieten.“ WESTZEIT lobte: „Folk-‐Pop mit traumhaften Melodiebögen und immer wieder überraschenden Haken und Ösen–die niemals dahin führen, wohin das Klischee geböte“. Mit "Eviction Notice" (2015) gaben BROKOF einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf ihr drittes Studioalbum "Cool Fame"(2016) und tourten Europa mit der EP als Dreingabe zum Ticket für ihre Fans. Der ROLLING STONE erkannte hier Parralelen zu CSNY und The Who und nannte das Album "schnörkellos und schön". 2017 veröffentlichte die Band "Brother Equal", eine Cooperation mit dem New Yorker Singer-Songwriter Random Willson. Mit "Fore!" erschien 2018 das vierte Album der Band. Der ROLLING STONE vergab 4 Sterne und schrieb dazu:"...schon wieder eine tolle Platte von Brokof: Das Quartett aus Berlin spielt hier seinen Folk-Rock verzerrter und etwas weniger romantisch als bislang (zum Beispiel beim treibenden „You & I“), dafür auf eine wundervolle Art schwankend, ergebnisoffen; die kleine Form schlägt den großen Entwurf, nach Jeff Tweedys Art. Wieder hört man, wie toll Brokof zusammenspielen und Arrangements atmen lassen, statt sie zu zementieren. Schön sind zum Beispiel der Wilco-Seufzer „Cabin“, das patzig krachende „A Ride“, das John Lennon-Lied „Don’t Give Up On Me Now“ und das mit Synths und psychedelischen Sounds weit schweifende „The World At Her Feet“.
