Momotrope sind eine eine experimental-synth-pop Band aus Zürich.

Momotrope is a sound conglomerate, perhaps the voice of an alien gazing longingly at the distant starry sky, a princess on the moon, a pseudo-giant, or a lost octopus? Their music takes off atmospherically into the skies, dreams along melancholically, only to jolt itself back to the ground of reality. The blend of finely tuned, at times ruggedly beautiful synth worlds, the electronically enhanced drum set, and two acoustic vocal timbres gives MOMOTROPE its idiosyncratic sound. The band seeks and finds a kind of conceptual weirdness, with each song heading in a slightly different, unpredictable direction, and always surprisingly profound, almost mystical.
